Korean Egg Bread (Gyeran-Ppang)

Ingredients

  • Batter Mix
    • Bread Flour - 260 grams
    • Sugar - 80 grams
    • Baking Soda - 5 grams
    • Salt - 5 grams
    • Baking Powder - 5 grams
    • ARLA UHT Full Cream Milk - 256 milliliters
    • ARLA Whipping Cream - 110 milliliters
    • ARLA Unsalted Butter - 50 grams (melted)
    • Egg - 1 piece
  • Plain Toppings
    • Egg - 1 piece
    • ARLA PRO Pizza Topping Cheese - 10 grams (shredded/grated)
    • ARLA PRO RedCheddar Cheese - 10 grams (shredded/grated)
    • Chives - As desired (sliced)
  • Plain Toppings
    • Egg - 1 piece
    • ARLA PRO Pizza Topping Cheese - 10 grams (shredded/grated)
    • ARLA PRO RedCheddar Cheese - 10 grams (shredded/grated)
    • Pizza sauce - 2 tablespoons
    • Bacon - 1 slice
    • Olives - As desired (sliced)
    • Mushroom - As desired (sliced)
  • Four-cheese Toppings
    • Egg - 1 piece
    • ARLA PRO Mozzarella Cheese - 10 grams (sticks/cubes)
    • ARLA PRO Pizza Topping Cheese - 10 grams (shredded/grated)
    • ARLA PRO RedCheddar Cheese - 10 grams (shredded/grated)
    • CASTELLO DanishBlue Cheese - As desired *Alternatively, use ARLA Apetina White Cheese (Feta Cheese)

Procedure

  • Batter Mix
    1. Mix bread flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
    2. Add ARLA Whipping Cream, ARLA UHT Full Cream Milk, 1 piece of egg, and melted ARLA Butter Unsalted in your batter mix bowl.
    3. Form a smooth and thick batter from your batter mix then set aside for later.
    4. Brush the insides of your mold with your ARLA Butter to avoid the mixture sticking into your mold.
    5. Fill 1/2 to 2/3 of your batter mix into your desired mold.
  • Plain Topping (per mold)
    1. Add 1 piece of egg on top of the batter mix in your mold.
    2. Add ARLA PRO Red Cheddar Cheese, ARLA PRO Pizza Topping, and chives on top of batter mix.
  • Pizza Topping (per mold)
    1. Put ARLA PRO Pizza Topping Cheese and ARLA PRO Red Cheddar Cheese on top of batter mix in your mold.
    2. Add 1 piece of egg on top of the batter mix.
    3. Add pizza sauce or tomato sauce, 1 piece of bacon, mushrooms and olives.
    4. Add more ARLA PRO Pizza Topping Cheese and ARLA PRO Cheddar Cheese on top to add colour.
  • Four-Cheese Topping (per mold)
    1. Put ARLA PRO Mozzarella Cheese on top of batter mix in your mold.
    2. Add 1 piece of egg on top.
    3. Add ARLA PRO Red Cheddar Cheese, ARLA PRO Pizza Topping Cheese, and Castello Danish Blue Cheese on top.
  • Bake
    1. Put your molds in an oven set for 200° Celsius and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the Gyeran-ppang is golden brown.
